                         My First Day At Jazz Pharmaceuticals              31st July 2017

 Monday 8:54 AM

Today was my first day at jazz pharmaceuticals . I arrived there 36 minutes earlier than expected . It was a wonderful feeling getting up that morning I felt as if I was  a grown up and was ready to take on the world even though its just a 2 week work experience. Surprisingly I wasn't feeling nervous at all even though normally these types of programs make me extremely nervous . I was a bit worried about finding the place because its in a part of the city I'd  never been to before. I got my dad to drop me off that day { he was not happy waking up so early}. 

as I  walked into the building I  felt as if I was that girl from the movie 13 going onto 30, it was a strange feeling that I cant really explain but it was great,I was finally going to be treated like an  mature adult and not some little child who doesn't know anything.

I went to the reception where I met the secretary Maria who was very nice and made me feel welcome. It  immediately felt like I belonged there and I would get used to the place .

After a while Chloe arrived and we waited for Ailish or Louise to come and get us . Louise came and brought us down to the department where we were going to be working in. They brought us into a meeting room where we met with Brid who is a very lovely lady, we also met Ailish there aswell. . They put on a slideshow which was 104 slides . At that moment reading and talking about the slides felt boring but it actually made sense after a while and we were able to grasp the concept of the company really quick, even if it did take an 104 slideshow to do it.  We took a little break half way through and Brid took us to the canteen and showed us around , we had a little nibble of some chocolate peanuts and raisins {yummy} and then went back to the rest of the slide show. The slide show was mostly about their products which they produce eg: Erwinaze, Kidrolase Prialt Vyxeos Defitilio , Xyrem and many more . Xyrem is their main product and its designed for Narcoleptic people and its an oral substance which helps them get a bettter nights sleep { see i remember all that because of the 104 slideshow}.
After we finished the slideshow we broke for lunch. Chloe and I both had Chicken wraps which was quite nice , We had a few chats with Ailish and Louise during lunch. After lunch Louise showed us the office and our desks which was quite exciting. We were introduced to the whole staff individually . 
By then it was time to go home. That was my first day at Jazz Pharmaceuticals.

Day 3 at jazz This morning turned out just fine. I arrived at the office with no problems and I got there 30 minutes earlier . I sat down at my desk and started chatting with Hannah . Later we went up for some breakfast in the canteen . At 9:30 we attended a meeting about creating an efficient system for training new employees . This meeting was with Hannah ,Chloe, Louise , Ciara and I.  This meeting lasted from 9:30 till 10:30 . After that meeting we had another talk session with Joe who is an intern here at jazz pharmaceuticals . Joe talked to us about his college life,how he got involved with different activities and how he had got the internship. That talk lasted from 10:30 from 12:00. We broke for lunch after it . After that we talked with Siobhan who works in supply chain . Siobhan talked to us about the different types of products and what they're used for and how they supply the products around the world and in the country . This talk lasted from 13:00 - 14:00 . ...

Day 4

Day 4 at jazz Today we went to a workshop where they were discussing ways to supply their products to different countries and what types of contracts they need to do so . Employers from around the world attended the meeting . This lasted from 9:30 till 10:30 . The meeting was going on for the whole day but we left because it started to get confusing. After that we explored the rest of the offices and went up to the canteen until we needed to do anything else. We broke for lunch . From 14:00 till 15:30 we talked with Ciara who is also an intern there at jazz she talked to us about her job and how she found out about jazz and how she decided that she wanted to go into pharmaceuticals.    After that we went home.

Day 5

Day 5 at jazz pharmaceuticals Today we went to another meeting. We talked with Ailish and Louise . Later Louise gave us some documents to look through and try to find mistakes and see if we come up with any questions from those documents which were about the process of making Xyrem. After lunch we ran errands for Aoife which was fun but we had to 're do the job 3 times because of the printer. Everyone left early because it was a Friday so we got an early leave as well.
